How much does a spa in Marrakech really cost? Between the neighbourhood hammam at a few dirhams and a palace ritual at several thousand, the gap is huge. This guide gives you real ranges, what changes the price and what the price shown does not always include.

How much a spa costs in Marrakech

  • Local neighbourhood hammam: a few dozen dirhams to enter, with the black soap scrub agreed directly with the attendant. Usually under 100 MAD in total.
  • Tourist hammam or medina spa: a full ritual (black soap, kessa scrub, rhassoul) most often costs 250 to 600 MAD per person.
  • Riad or guesthouse spa: 400 to 900 MAD for a one-hour treatment, in an intimate setting, by booking.
  • Four or five-star hotel spa: 700 to 2,500 MAD depending on length and standing. Palace signature rituals often go above that.
  • Spa at home: from 500 MAD for 60 minutes, all included, with no journey and no supplement.

These gaps mostly reflect the cost of the place: a hotel spa also charges for its pools and wet areas. You pay for an address as much as for a treatment.

What changes the price of a treatment

  • Length: going from 60 to 90 minutes usually costs 40 to 50 percent more, rarely double.
  • Treatment type: hot stones, argan rituals and duo treatments need more equipment or two therapists.
  • Area and standing: Hivernage and the Palmeraie charge more than Guéliz or the medina.
  • Season: from March to May and from October to December, slots fill up fast and offers disappear.

What the price shown does not always include

  • the return taxi, above all outside the centre;
  • the tip, customarily 10 to 20 percent;
  • the supplement for a private hammam or duo room;
  • the products offered at the end of the treatment;
  • the time spent waiting and travelling.

Be wary of very low adverts, such as a 100 dh massage: a professional treatment cannot cost that in Marrakech. See how much a massage costs in Marrakech.

Hotel spa, riad spa or spa at home

A hotel spa appeals for its facilities and suits a half-day there. A riad spa offers an intimate setting and better value, with limited slots. A spa at home brings the treatment to your villa, riad or hotel room, with no travel.

How to pay a fair price in Marrakech

Always ask for the total price in MAD before confirming, and have what is included confirmed in writing: real massage time, products, hammam access, tip. Compare like with like on length, not on the name of the treatment.
